Biote® Hormone Replacement Therapy
Regain your youthfulness and start living better today!
Sleepless nights, hot flashes, brain fog, and someone may or may not have jokingly referred to you as “Oscar the Grouch” the other day. As we age, our body's hormone production diminishes, causing hormone imbalances and frustrating symptoms. . .and nobody’s got time for that these days.
Luckily, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) can help men and women find relief. Hormone production decreases up to 10% each year after the age of 30. Biote is a revolutionary hormone replacement therapy to help patients optimize their hormones and take control of their health.
Biote, the United States’ largest hormone optimization company has translated over 80 years of scientific research into the Biote Method. Using the Biote we’re able to offer patients personalized treatment plans and customized BHRT dosing to target and treat specific symptoms caused by age-related loss of critical hormones like testosterone and estrogen.

The Biote Pellet Insertion Procedure
Once your exact dose of testosterone and/or estrogen has been determined, your physician will numb the treatment area for insertion in the buttocks. Then, a small incision will be made into subcutaneous tissue and a cannula will be inserted and the pellets will be pushed through. Once pellets are inserted, the incision will be closed with adhesive strips and the treatment area bandaged.
Biote Recovery
After a Biote pellet insertion procedure, we ask patients to avoid any strenuous activity for two days. It’s normal to experience some swelling and/or redness at the treatment site which will dissipate naturally over the next 2-3 days. Some patients report mild discomfort around the insertion site but any pain can usually be controlled with over-the-counter (OTC) medications like Tylenol and a warm heating pad or washcloth.
Biote Results
Biote may start working in as little as 24 hours but for most patients, full improvement of hormone imbalance-related symptoms happens three weeks following the procedure. To maintain Biote results, patients should plan for regular pellet insertion, with women requiring replacement every 3-4 months, and men requiring replacement every 4-5 months.
