What To Expect With Botox Treatment
Before Your Botox Treatment
Prior to the use of Botox, avoid blood thinners such as ibuprofen and aspirin. Plan to arrive at your appointment for Botox with a clean face without any makeup.
During Your Botox Treatment
At your appointment, your provider will clean the injection sites and can numb the treatment area with a topical anesthetic if necessary. Then, the Botox will be injected into the facial muscles using an ultra-fine needle. Botox injections take just a few minutes, and patients typically see results within 5 to 10 days.
After Your Botox Treatment
Patients can return to their normal routine immediately after Botox treatment, although it’s recommended to avoid a hot tub or sauna for at least 24 hours as well as any vigorous exercise.
